PONDA: Ponda Police in Goa have registered a serious offense following a written complaint filed by Santana Pinheiro E Coloaco (58), the Headmistress of G.V. M’s Pragati Vidyalaya in Borim, Ponda. The complaint targets an adult male, identified as the father of a 14-year-old minor student at the school, for an alleged assault. The incident reportedly occurred on September 23, 2025, at about 09:00 hrs, near the Saibaba Temple in Borim. The Headmistress detailed that the accused allegedly tried to kiss the minor student, and when she resisted, he is accused of having pushed her onto a bed, sat over her, touched her chest, and attempted to kiss her against her consent. The Ponda Police Station has registered the case as Cr. No. 147/2025 under stringent sections, including Sections 74 and 75(i) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act, and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
