ARAMBOL: The FDA team carried out an extensive inspection drive in Mandrem and Arambol, covering a total of 20 food establishments.
Inspection notices were issued under Schedule 4 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, directing all inspected establishments to comply with mandatory hygiene and safety norms.
During the drive, three establishments were ordered to immediately cease operations due to unhygienic conditions.
The remaining establishments were granted 14 days to comply with the required standards, failing which they will face legal action.
The FDA has reiterated that such enforcement measures will continue to ensure public health and food safety in the region.
