ARPORA: Team of FDA officials continued the special drive on monitoting hygiene of Restaurants in Arpora and Anjuna area. 17 food establishemnts were inspected of which 8 outlets were asked to suspend operations and directed to renovate and comply to the hygiene norms.
Outlets inspected were engaged in prrparation of udpi style items, biryani sellers, retail outlets and fast. Others were issued improvement notices. These special drives will continue all accross the state with an objective to ensure hyginen compliance by all eateries. All Food Business operators are hereby directed to ensure strict compliance and must not wait for FDA authorites to initiate action, proactive compliance is solicited. The FDA will continue such late eveing special drives in “hot spot areas” . The team comprised of Richard Noronha Designated Officer, Amit Mandrekar and Lenin De sa Food Safety Officers under the guidance of Director FDA Shweta Dessai.
