During the operation, four food business operators were fined a total of ₹8,000 for operating in unhygienic conditions and failing to produce valid FSSAI registration certificates, despite prior notices to comply. Two additional premises were fined ₹400 for not displaying mandatory no-smoking boards. Three other establishments were issued inspection reports and directed to rectify deficiencies within the stipulated timeframe.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said, “We are committed to enforcing food safety norms across Goa. Such inspections and penalties are essential to safeguard public health and ensure that all food establishments operate responsibly.”
