MAPUSA: The entire Mapusa city was in fear and anxiety as a newspaper vendor tested positive for COVID19.
Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza said that swab testing drive initiated by Mapusa UHC is currently underway at Health Centre Khorlim, for all those people who have come in contact with the newspaper vendor and also for those staying in the surrounding vicinity.
“Visited the area around KrishnaTemple, Khorlim along with Local Councillors Vibha Salgaonkar & Rajsingh Rane, Dy. Collector Kum Mamu Hage, #Mapusa PI Shri Tushar Lotlikar and #Police personnel where a NewspaperVendor residing in the locality has been tested positive for Covid19 yesterday,” he wrote.
He said that the GoaPolice have made arrangements to contain the locality and all residents have been requested to stay indoors.
