MAPUSA: In a disturbing case reported at the North Goa District Hospital, a woman is alleged to have delivered a six-month-old fetus inside the hospital washroom and abandoned it before quietly leaving the premises.
The shocking discovery was made by hospital authorities, who immediately alerted the police and initiated an internal probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials said CCTV footage is being scrutinized and staff are being questioned to establish the sequence of events and trace the woman involved.
Mapusa Police have registered the matter and are carrying out further investigation. The incident has sparked concern within the community, with questions being raised about maternal health awareness, emergency support for vulnerable women, and lapses in hospital vigilance.
