PANAJI: Reacting strongly to the Enforcement Directorate’s chargesheet against Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, Dr. Pratiksha Khalap, President of the Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress, has denounced the move as a blatant example of vindictive politics and abuse of power.
“This is nothing but a calculated political witch-hunt against a family that has sacrificed generations in service to India. The BJP-led central government continues to misuse investigative agencies to silence the voices of dissent and discredit the leaders who have been the strongest defenders of India’s democratic values,” said Dr. Khalap.
She emphasized that the Gandhi family has always stood tall in times of adversity. “From leading the freedom movement to shaping modern India, the Congress leadership has consistently upheld the ideals of secularism, justice, and social welfare. Sonia Gandhi ji and Rahul Gandhi ji embody that legacy of selfless service.”
Dr. Khalap further stated, “The Congress party will never be intimidated by such pressure tactics. Our fight for truth, justice, and the protection of the Constitution will continue with unwavering determination.”
