ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered an FIR against the manager of Diaz Pool Club & Bar in Anjuna for allegedly playing music beyond the permissible noise limit and violating environmental regulations.
According to police, a complaint was lodged by LPSI Leesha A. Kharbe on behalf of the state after checking the Real Time Sound Level Meter data for the club.
Between 10.00 p.m. on 5 July and 6.00 a.m. on 6 July 2025, the sound level recorded at the venue was found to be 66.6 dB—exceeding the permissible limits set by law.
Police said the club’s actions constituted a violation of The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 and the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. Further investigation is underway.
