PANAJI: Health Department has said that it has received 16 more results of genomic sequencing of which 1 case had been detected of COVID-19 delta plus variant.
One of the samples of covid patients which were sent to the National Center for Cell Science in July this year tested positive for covid.
The patient from South Goa whose sample was positive for Delta Plus had completely recovered now, informed DHS officials.
Of the 16 reports received today, 2 have been detected for delta variant, 1 delta plus variant, 6 Kappa variant while 7 have been detected for delta sub lineages.
