CUTBONA: A fishing boat that had been anchored at the Cutbona fishing jetty since Monday midday was found to be overturned.
After learning of the incident late on Monday night, officers from the coastal police stations in Cuncolim and Betul arrived on the scene.
The incident has been reported as an accident by the Betul Coastal Police Station, according to PI Diogo Gracias, the in-charge of the Cuncolim Police Station.
“Cuncolim police responded to witness reports and arrived at Cutbona late on Monday night.” The owner of the impacted fishing boat has been called to the police station to be questioned,” he said.
He added that after the boat owner’s statement is obtained, the extent of the accident-related damages will be determined.
