PANAJI: The two-day Fit For Life Inter-School Swimming Championships, organised by Fit For Life in association with The Ardee School, concluded on Sunday evening at The Ardee School campus in Sangolda.
The championship saw participation from over 75 schools and more than 200 young swimmers from Goa, Belgaum, Bangalore, Hubli, Mysore and Kolhapur. Young athletes competed across multiple age groups and categories, displaying strong competitive spirit, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the event.
The valedictory function was held in the evening with Hon’ble Minister Shri Digambar Kamat gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Mr Yogiraj Kamat attended as Guest of Honour. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries congratulated the participants and organisers for successfully hosting a large-scale inter-school sporting event and encouraged students to pursue sports alongside academics.
Prizes and certificates were awarded to winners and outstanding performers, marking a fitting conclusion to the championship. Organisers stated that the event aimed at promoting swimming as a competitive sport among school students and fostering a culture of fitness and healthy competition.
Parents, coaches and school representatives were present in large numbers, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the championship finals.
