MANDREM: Mandre College of Commerce, Economics and Management organised Fit India Movement Freedom Run 2.0 and Celebrated 152nd Birth anniversary of the Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi on October 02.
As a part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75th year of the Independence of India. Around 96 members, including students, the volunteers of NSS and staff members of the college, participated in the Run covering 3 km.
The Run was flagged off by Satish Setgaonkar, ZP, Morjim Constituency, and the College Principal Prof. Tushar S. Anvekar. For the build-up of the Physical Fit India Movement Freedom Run 2.0, the college organised a two week virtual run competition from September 19 to October 01.
The college’s students, staff, and faculty enthusiastically took part in the Virtual Fit India Freedom Run 2.0, covering a total of 331 km, including the Fit India Freedom Run 2.0.
After the Run, a floral tribute was given to Mahatma Gandhi, and all students and staff of the college took a Swachh Bharat Pledge.
