ANJUNA: In a bizarre turn of events, Anjuna Police have arrested five individuals for allegedly assaulting the staff of a local restaurant over a dispute regarding the shifting of a standing fan.
The accused have been identified as Rohit Kambli (19), Aditya Manolkar (24) — a native of Belgaum — along with Kiran Pawar (23), Vikram Chaudhary (20), and Kiran Kambli, all residents of Canca.
According to police sources, the altercation broke out when the restaurant staff attempted to move a standing fan from the entrance door to the accommodation room. The group reportedly objected to the move and proceeded to assault the staff members.
All five accused were taken into custody and are currently being interrogated. A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Anjuna Police Station.
