DABOLIM: In a major security breach at Goa International Airport, Dabolim, five individuals were arrested for allegedly forging Airport Entry Passes (AEP) and using them to gain unauthorized access to the restricted area of the airport terminal.
As per the complaint filed by M.S. Reddy of CISF Unit, Goa International Airport, the incident took place on February 24, 2025, between 8:00 PM and 8:20 PM. The accused have been identified as Sahiel Ali Khan, a resident of Vaddem, Vasco; Amit Kumar, Nasib Ansari, and Ashok Kumar Patel, all from Bihar; and Rakesh D. Kekane from Maharashtra.
According to the police, the accused allegedly forged the AEP and presented it as a genuine document before CISF personnel, thereby deceiving security officials and illegally entering the restricted area of the terminal.
Following the complaint, the Dabolim Airport Police registered an offence under sections 318(2), 336(2), 336(3), and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with Rule 22 of the Aircraft Security Rules, 2023. All five accused were arrested and have been remanded to two days of police custody.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Prathamesh S. Palkar of Dabolim Airport Police Station. Authorities are probing how the accused managed to forge the entry passes and whether more individuals are involved in the crime.
