CURCHOREM: Police have registered a case against five persons, including one identified accused, for allegedly trespassing into a residence and assaulting a man at Carriyamoddi, Pontemol, Curchorem.
According to a complaint lodged by Sarvar Khan, a resident of Carriyamoddi, Pontemol, the incident occurred on June 10, 2025, around 6 pm at Candida Residency.
The complainant stated that the main accused, Shivam Mohite, along with four unidentified persons, formed an unlawful assembly and forcibly entered his flat. The group allegedly pushed his pregnant sister, abused his mother and younger sister in filthy language, and when confronted, caught hold of the complainant’s collar, dragged him outside, and assaulted him by punching him on the face, causing injuries.
The accused persons also allegedly abused and threatened the complainant’s father with dire consequences before leaving the spot.
Police have registered an offence under relevant sections of the IPC pertaining to unlawful assembly, criminal trespass, assault, and criminal intimidation.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Bharat Kharat of Curchorem Police Station.
