Goa Velha: A major accident on the highway near Goa Velha on [date] left five people injured after a Mapusa-registered Hyundai Creta lost control and overturned multiple times before crashing into the road divider and uprooting an electricity pole.
The impact was so severe that the car’s engine was flung several meters away from the main wreckage.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle had five occupants, all of whom were rushed to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, for treatment. Their condition was not immediately known.
The crash caused traffic disruption and left debris scattered across the highway. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
