VASCO: Acting on the directions of the Additional District Magistrate-II, South Goa, Mamlatdar of Mormugao Taluka, Shri Pravinjay Pandit, on Friday attached two flats belonging to former MLA Jose Luis Carlos Almeida for defaulting on loan repayment. The attached properties include Flat No. 406 at Prime Harmony Cooperative Housing Society, Chicalim, and Flat No. 803 at Prime Complex Cooperative Housing Society, Vasco.
The Mamlatdar, assisted by officials of the Vasco Police Station, handed over possession of the flats to the authorised officer of Saraswat Cooperative Bank Ltd, Vasco Branch. The attachment proceedings were carried out after Almeida allegedly failed to clear outstanding dues owed to the bank.
