PANAJI: The Office of the District Collector, North Goa has constituted a flying squad at taluka level to curb the illegal land filling, illegal hill cutting and illegal construction and has directed the local authorities including Mamlatdars, Talathi and Flying Squads for identification, inspections and removal of such illegalities.
The Flying Squad for each taluka in North Goa District will comprise the following Mamlatdar/ Jt. Mamlatdar (Incharge), Police Inspector/ Police Sub Inspector (PSI) of the concerned jurisdiction, Talathi of the concerned village and representative of the Town and Country Planning Department (in case of illegal hill cutting/ land filling).
Citizens are requested to promptly report any instances of illegal land filling, hill cutting or illegal construction to the dedicated Control Room set up in the Office of the Collector, North Goa.
The Control Room is operational 24×7 and can be reached at 0832-2225383. In addition, complaint can also be lodged by dialing the emergency helpline 100.
