PANAJI: In a bid to attract more customers, Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) has reduced the fare from Mopa Airport to various destinations.
As per the new fare list, a trip from Mopa to Margao would not cost Rs 400 per head, Panaji and Calangute Rs 200 each and Rs 150 to Mapusa.
These services will be offered by KTCL for their Electric Vehicles (EVs).
“The fare on the Margao route has now been made Rs 400. The pricing was earlier decided based on kilometres. However, with the increased response, we are willing to discuss the further reduction of rates,” he said.
Currently, the Mopa-Margao route gets the highest response among airport commuters.
The service also operates from Mopa to Calangute/Sinquerim via Mapusa.
Air-conditioned buses are a convenient mode of travel as we accept any amount of luggage, unlike taxis. We have also removed a few seats inside the bus to accommodate additional luggage,” the KTC said.
The boarding points in Margao are the Margao bus stand and Titan (Verna Industrial Estate), and in Panjim, one can board at Bambolim and the Panjim bus stand. Similarly, in Mapusa, the boarding point is the Mapusa bus stand.
The KTC is operating 49-seater electric vehicles from the Manohar International Airport, Mopa and in the coming months, KTC will add more electric vehicles from March onwards on both routes.
