PONDA: The Ponda Forest Officials seized around 38 kg in yesterday midnight raid at Namaswada Cuncoliem and also arrested nine suspected person involved into poaching of wild boar. The Forest Officials also seized two four wheeler and two bikes.
Those detained are four from Mardol, one from Querim and also four locals at Cuncoliem were taken into custody.
The Forest officials after getting information about wild boar meat at Cuncoliem rushed to the spot and arrested nine accused while they were sharing the wild boar meat.
The two Cars and two bikes belonging to suspects also seized. All the accused were later produced before Court and later were released on bail.
This is the second raid by Forest officials after massive raid was conducted at Dharbandora recently where in several pigs brought for slaughter were rescued and also meat of four pigs was seized.
