PONDA: In connection with the upcoming by-election to the 21–Ponda Assembly Constituency, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have completed the distribution of Form 12-D to all eligible absentee voters.
Officials said the forms were distributed to absentee voters in the categories of AVSC (senior citizens aged 85 and above) and AVPD (persons with disabilities duly tagged). These voters will be able to exercise their franchise through postal ballot under the home voting facility.
Polling teams will visit the residences of such voters to facilitate the voting process, ensuring that they can cast their votes without the need to travel to polling stations.
The initiative aims to enhance accessibility and inclusiveness in the electoral process and enable eligible voters to participate conveniently in the upcoming Ponda by-election.
