PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that President Ram Nath Kovind will attend the Goa Statehood Day function on May 30.
Sawant also informed that the foundation stone for the new Raj Bhavan building at current complex will laid on May 30.
“President Ram Nath Kovind will attend the Goa Statehood Day function on May 30. Total of 35 personalities including former Chief Ministers and some from the industrial sectors will be felicitated on the occasion,” said CM Sawant
He further said that on the ocasion of Goa Statehood Day, the foundation stone for new Raj Bhavan Building will be laid at current complex.
“As of now details regarding the project that is costing will be given in the coming few days, I do not have details as of now. Old building will remain,” he added
Speaking on mining pits, Sawant said that three mining pits have been indentified as risky and already water pumps have been installed at Pissurlem and by next week it will be installed at Bicholim mining sites.
