Poriem: MLA Deviya Rane on Sunday laid the foundation stone for a Minor Bridge at Sukad Vante in V.P. Bhironda–Poriem, a project aimed at improving connectivity and providing direct access to the sacred Sukad Chaitanya Matt.
For years, devotees visiting the Matt from across Goa have faced hardships in crossing the nallah due to the absence of proper infrastructure. The new bridge will connect the internal road to MDR 27 and ensure safe and convenient passage for pilgrims as well as local residents.
Speaking at the ceremony, MLA Rane said the initiative was not just about strengthening road links but also about “respecting faith, easing lives, and ensuring accessibility for all.”
The foundation stone-laying event was attended by Bhironda Sarpanch Udaysingh Rane, Dy. Sarpanch Rupali Gaonkar, and other Panchayat members.
