VASCO: Vasco police arrested four persons after they were allegedly caught red-handed in possession of narcotic substances behind Vales Junction, Dabolim, on Thursday afternoon.
Acting on a complaint filed by PSI Nikhil Naik Dessai, police said that between 1.37 pm and 4.20 pm on September 25, the accused — Abdullah Khan of Baina, Nilesh Dhuri of New Vaddem, Numaiz Shaikh of Baina, and Akhil Kumar of Zuarinagar — were found with 18 grams of hydroponic cannabis and 20 grams of charas, with a combined value of around ₹2.8 lakh in the open market.
The four accused were placed under arrest the same day but were later released on bail.
Further investigation into the case has been handed over to PSI Mayur Sawant of Vasco police station.
