PANAJI: An offence has been registered by police following a complaint filed by Edwin Dias, a resident of Boutavaddo, Assagao, Bardez, in connection with an alleged assault and abduction incident.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on March 15, 2026, at Altinho, Panaji, where four accused—identified as Aarti Golatkar, Nitin Golatkar, Jai Golatkar, and another member of the Golatkar family, all residents of Altinho—allegedly acted with common intention to wrongfully confine the complainant in their house.
Police stated that the accused assaulted Dias with fist blows and kicks. They further allegedly forced him into a silver-coloured Wagon vehicle and took him to his residence in Assagao, where he was threatened with dire consequences, including death.
Based on the complaint, an offence was registered on March 17, 2026, at around 7:44 pm. Further investigation in the case is being carried out by Head Constable Babu B. Madanwar.
