MARGAO: The Margao Town Police have registered a case against four persons from Navelim after a man was allegedly abused and assaulted over a family dispute near Shani Temple, Moddi, Mandopa.
Police said the complaint was lodged by Sunil Kumar Prasad of Malbhat, Margao, who reported that on September 13 at around 6 pm, the accused Dilip Chavan, Raj Chavan, Ankit Chavan, and Sachine Kumar Prasad, all residents of Moddi, Mandopa, abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with slaps, kicks, and blows.
The complainant further alleged that accused Dilip Chavan struck him on the face with an iron nail, causing injuries.
A case has been registered under Sections 352, 115(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Further investigation is being carried out by ASI Santosh Gaonkar of Margao Town Police Station.
