VASCO::Vasco Police have registered an FIR against four persons from Maharashtra for allegedly cheating a Vasco resident of ₹12.86 lakh by promising admission for her son in a veterinary college.
The case has been registered as Vasco Police Station Crime No. 97/2025 under Section 420 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, based on a complaint filed by Deepmala Kamble, a resident of Mangoor Hill, Vasco.
According to the complaint, between August 2023 and the present, at Vasco, the accused — Neha Kamble, Uttam Kamble, Suhasini Kamble and Akash Dange, all residents of Maharashtra — allegedly induced the complainant to pay ₹12,86,000 on the pretext of securing admission for her son at Krantisinh Nana Patil College of Veterinary Science, Maharashtra.
Police stated that despite receiving the amount, the accused neither arranged the admission nor returned the money, thereby dishonestly cheating the complainant of ₹12.86 lakh.
Further investigation is in progress and is being carried out by PSI Plato Carvalho of Vasco Police Station.
