FATORDA: Fatorda Police arrested four youths after a fight broke out near Holy Spirit Church, Borda Road, Margao, on Monday afternoon, allegedly over a dispute involving a one-sided love affair.
Police said the incident occurred around 3:30 pm when the accused — Aman Kumar of Colva, Shankar Shillikyatar of Colva (native of Belgaum, Karnataka), Karan Rathod of Peda-Benaulim, and Vinay Arunde of Per-Seraulim, Colva — wrongfully restrained each other and engaged in a violent scuffle. During the fight, threats were allegedly made, including the use of an air gun, as the accused men threatened to cause grievous harm and even kill each other.
The clash, which police described as an affray disturbing public peace, was quickly brought under control. All four accused were placed under arrest but later released on bail.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ramrai Naik of Fatorda Police Station.
