Curtorim: Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda defeated Guardian Angel SC of Curchorem 2-0 to emerge champions of the 32nd Curtorim Gymkhana inter village football tournament played at St Alex church ground on Sunday. Reagan Costa scored both the goals for Fr. Agnelo RSC Paroda.
Fr. Agnel YSC Paroda were awarded Rs. 50,000 and a trophy while Guardian Angel SC had to be content with 40,000 and a trophy.
The prizes: Best discipline team of the tournament – Ambelim SC , best half of the final- Melson Fernandes (Fr. Agnel Paroda) , best goalkeeper of the final- Ravil Fernandes (Fr. Agnel Paroda), best defender of the final – Salvin Fernandes (Fr. Agnel Paroda), best forward of the final – Reagan Costa (Fr. Agnel Paroda), first scorer of the final- Reagan Costa (Fr. Agnel Paroda), highest soring team- Fr. Agnel YSC Paroda, Golden boot- Jaison Dias (Fr. Agnel Paroda), Golden gloves- Prakash (Maina SC), Player of the tournament- Cyril Dias (Guardian Angel SC), Last touch of the first half- Ivo Costa of Guardian Angel SC).
Mr . Reginald Lourenco Mla of Curtorim constituency and Chairman of GIDC was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners up in the presence of Mr.Alexinho DSilva sarpanch of VP Curtorim,Mrs.Michelle Rebello zp member Curtorim, other dignitaries and club officials.
