ASSOLDA: Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda delivered a dominating performance to thrash Ugem Rising Club 6-1 and secure their spot in the quarterfinals of the 17th St. Anthony Festival Cup, organized by St. Anthony SC Assolda and played at the Moll Ground, Assolda.
Joy Fernandes was the star of the match, scoring an impressive four goals for Fr. Agnelo YSC in the 22nd, 29th, 35th, and 43rd minutes, while Nelson Fernandes netted a brace in the 16th and 56th minutes, sealing an emphatic victory for the Paroda side.
Ugem Rising Club managed to pull one back through Pratamesh Gaonkar, who found the net in the 29th minute, but it was not enough to challenge Paroda’s relentless attack.
For his outstanding performance, Joy Fernandes was named Man of the Match, and the award was presented by Francisco Afonso, General Secretary of Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda.
