BICHOLIM: A 25-year-old fruit vendor from Maharashtra was apprehended on for allegedly obstructing traffic while conducting vending activities along the Bicholim bypass.
According to a state complaint lodged by ASI Ramdas Tari of Bicholim Police Station, the incident occurred on November 20, 2025, at around 10:45 am near the PWD Junction at Vathadev, Sarvan. The accused, Dhanaji Mahadev Sargar, a resident of Sargarwadi, Solapur, was allegedly displaying fruits negligently by the roadside on the stretch leading from Valshi Pen Circle towards the junction, hindering the free movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
Police said the vendor was caught red-handed and booked for creating obstruction. Investigation is underway.
