MAPUSA: Home Minister Amit Shah said that the mining activity in the state will commence with full steam in the next two years.
He further said that CM Pramod Sawant relentlessly followed the mining issue and we got the mines auctioned.
“One mine has already commenced operations and remaining mines will be started within two years, he added. Congress always neglected small states like Goa. It was BJP that brought in real development in the state of Goa,” said Shah
“It is not going to happen and it’s not possible even in a dream, but God forbid, if the INDIA bloc gets a majority, who is going to be the PM? Can Sharad Pawar look after this country? (kya Sharad babu iss desh ko sambhal sakte hein?) Can Mamata Banerjee?,” said Shah
He further questioned can an ailing Stalin look after the country? Can Uddhav Thackeray? And finally let me ask you, can Rahul Gandhi do so? Ye log desh nhi sambhal sakte (they cannot run this country),” he said.
“When a reporter asked one of their leaders who would be the PM if they got a majority, the leader replied they will all take turns. This rotating team… Can they put an end to terrorism or Naxalism? Can they make India the third largest economy of the world? They can only secure the future of their children.”
Stating that the PM had “freed the country from terrorism”, Shah said, “During UPA government, terrorists from Pakistan used to infiltrate the country and carry out attacks before returning to Pakistan. No one said anything. In 2014, Narendra Modi became the PM,”
Home Minister also said that Pakistan attacked Uri and Pulwama and sent terrorists… but Pakistan forgot the government [in India] had changed… Within 10 days, Modi conducted surgical strikes and air strikes in Pakistan and eliminated terrorists,” he said.
While addressing the public he said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi India got a strong Central Government for the last 10 years and said that India has become the third-largest economy in the world.
He added that the current government has dealt with terrorism strongly. He assured that the mining industry in Goa will be resumed in the coming two years. He attacked the INDI alliance for its lack of proper leadership.
Voting for two Lok Sabha seats in Goa will take place on May 7th. This time BJP has repeated its candidate in North Goa and fielded a new face of Pallavi Dempo in South Goa. Congress has fielded former Union minister Ramakant Khalap and Viriato Fernandes as its candidates for the North and South Goa Lok Sabha seats.
People in large numbers attended the meeting which was also addressed by CM Pramod Sawant, other ministers and party leaders.
