PANAJI: Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to submit a proposal to the ministry for creating electric public transportation system across the state.
“CM Sawant should submit a proposal to create electric public transport system across Goa, this technology is based on projects announced by Elon Musk; My ministry will approve the proposal, said Gadkari
He further said that the under-construction international airport at Mopa will be ready by 2023 while assuming that all international standards will be looked into all such projects in the state.
Gadkari said that if the people of Goa continue to support the CM Pramod Sawant led government in Goa, more and more people centric development will take place.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant promised that all the ongoing highway expansion projects will be completed and opened for vehicular access by December 19.
