PANAJI: The Gakuved Federation has strongly objected to the show cause notice issued against Dr. Ajay Gaude, stating that administrative actions should encourage rather than discourage officers who have earned the respect of their teams and the public.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Federation President Govind Shirodkar said the notice was unjustified and amounted to penalizing Dr. Gaude for receiving cultural expressions of respect from colleagues.
“The government must focus on substantial administrative reforms instead of targeting officers with a proven track record of service,” he said.
The Federation further asserted that it would continue to monitor the matter closely and take all necessary legal and democratic steps to ensure justice for Dr. Gaude.
“We remain hopeful that wisdom will prevail and this show cause notice will be withdrawn at the earliest, allowing Dr. Gaude to continue his valuable service to the people of Goa without this unnecessary cloud over his reputation,” Shirodkar added.
