ASSAGAO: Rohan Varma, a 23-year-old Parra resident, was taken into custody by Anjuna police during a drug bust.
Varma was discovered in possession of 900 grams, worth Rs 90,000, of what was believed to be ganja.
Based on credible intelligence, the raid was conducted at Sonarkhed in Assagao between 1.15 and 3.30 in the morning.
The suspected drugs were seized by the police team during a panchanama, and a case was filed under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
After that, Varma was taken into custody, and the narcotics that were found were transferred for additional examination.
Investigations to find more information about the case are still on, according to Anjuna police.
