CALANAGUTE: At midnight on Thursday, Ajit Gupta, 31, an accused drug dealer, was taken into custody by Calangute police at the Dolphin Circle fountain for allegedly having drugs worth Rs 94,000.
In response to a tip that suggested Gupta was going to transport cocaine to a potential client, the police carried out a raid and arrested him there.
An offence has been registered under relevant parts of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and additional investigation is continuing, confirmed the police.
