Panaji: The Goa Badminton Association (GBA), in collaboration with its affiliated clubs, has announced a packed schedule of State Major Ranking Badminton Tournaments for July and August 2025. The tournaments will cover a wide range of categories, providing a competitive platform for players across age groups.
The action kicks off with the U13 and U19 categories from July 18 to 20, hosted by Mapusa Shuttlers at the Peddem Badminton Hall, Mapusa. This will be followed by the U15 and U17 competitions from July 21 to 23, organised by Radiant Sports Club at the Ponda Sports Complex. The concluding leg of the season will feature Seniors (Men & Women) and Veterans categories from August 1 to 3 at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium in Navelim, hosted by Ponda Shuttlers.
Participants are required to submit their entries online via gba.zeetius.com, with the registration window closing four days prior to each tournament. These ranking events, held thrice annually for each category, play a crucial role in the selection process for state representation at national-level tournaments.
GBA President Manoj Patil called on players of all ages to take part, stating, “As we mark the 60th anniversary of the Goa Badminton Association, I invite all players to participate in these special tournaments. This is not just an opportunity to win titles, but also a moment to be recognised. We’ll be scouting for promising talent to nurture and support for future growth. Let’s make this milestone year truly memorable.”
The series promises to energize Goa’s badminton scene while spotlighting emerging talent and fostering sportsmanship across the state.
