PANAJI: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has issued a final warning to schools, stating that failure to upload student data for the current academic year will result in students being barred from registering for the 2025–26 board examinations.
The Board has directed all Heads of recognized secondary and higher secondary institutions to ensure that the details of Grade 9 and Class XI students for 2024–25 are uploaded to the official portal by July 18.
The data is required for registering students for the SSC (Class 10) and HSSC (Class 12) exams in the next academic year.
“This is the final reminder. If schools do not upload the required student data by the deadline, their students will not be eligible to appear for the board exams,” warned Board Secretary Vidhyadatta Naik.
This directive follows earlier instructions issued in May, with an initial deadline of June 15, which many schools failed to meet.
The Board emphasized that this online data submission is mandatory.
From the current academic year, NEP 2020 guidelines have come into force for Grade 10, increasing the need for streamlined student tracking and exam planning.
The GBSHSE has already released the tentative timetable for the 2026 board exams. HSSC (Class 12) exams are scheduled to begin on February 10, 2026, while SSC (Class 10) exams will start on March 2, 2026.
The Board stressed that timely data upload is critical for exam logistics, including the preparation of hall tickets, seating arrangements, and adherence to curriculum reforms.
Schools that continue to ignore these instructions risk jeopardizing their students’ academic progress and may face further administrative consequences.
