PANAJI: Goa Chamber Of Commerce & Industries (GCCI) today has welcomed and hailed the Union Budget.
“This was a very good budget as far as industries are concerned. Finance Minister has given good proposals in budget for Goa in terms of maritime, tourism and ship building” said Pratima Dhond, GCCI
Dhond further said that 50 tourist destinations including Goa will get good facilities under new budget.
“Most of the proposals given by GCCI have been accepted by Finance ministry. We are happy with this. We will check what will be there in the fine print” she added
The overall budget is a very happy budget. In terms of income tax, it will bring happiness to the common man. This Budget 2025 will surely delight the people. – Manguirish Pai Raiker, Industrialist.
GCCI had also written to the finance minister, requesting that restaurants be offered the option of 5% GST without input tax credit or 12% GST with input tax credit.
“Uniform GST rates for hotel accommodation will make travel more affordable and boost the tourism sector of India,” the GCCI had announced
