PANAJI: The Goa Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 received a notable visit from Commissioner-cum-Secretary (I&P) Shri Sarpreet Singh Gill, IAS, who praised the State’s creative presentation and execution excellence. Shri Gill took a keen interest in the exhibits and interacted with officials, artisans, artists, and entrepreneurs representing Goa on the national stage.
He was welcomed by Information Officer Shri Allwyn Xavier Pereira and Assistant Information Officer Shri Govind Gaonkar, along with a traditional Goan reception featuring Dhol and Tasha. Shri Gill commended the pavilion’s thematic design and immersive experience, highlighting how effectively it showcased Goa’s progress in tourism, industries, rural development, handicrafts, culture, and emerging sectors.
Describing the pavilion as a true reflection of Goa’s spirit and growth, Shri Gill appreciated the meticulous planning and innovation behind its creation. He underscored the importance of platforms like IITF in promoting states’ culture, investment potential, and unique products to diverse audiences, encouraging more departments to participate in such national events.
The pavilion has been drawing significant footfall since the fair began, with visitors showing strong interest in traditional crafts, tourism offerings, the startup ecosystem, and sustainability initiatives. Shri Gill also interacted with Goan entrepreneurs and artists, encouraging them to leverage such platforms for expanding their reach and strengthening “Brand Goa.”
Adding to the day’s engagements, Ms Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Secretary (Tourism) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and former Collector of Goa, also visited the pavilion. She expressed delight at seeing Goa’s vibrant spirit “reflected so elegantly,” praising its blend of tradition, creativity, and innovation.
The Goa Pavilion continues to earn widespread appreciation for its authentic representation of the State’s cultural and artistic heritage at IITF 2025.
