CANACONA: Goa Lagislature Assembly Spaaker Ramesh Tawadkar launched the reconstruction of a narrow culvert, including the damaged side drains, near Hattipal Forest Gate, in Poinguinim.
Also present were the VP Poinguinim Sarpanch Smt.Savita Tawadkar, ward panch Mahesh Naik and most other panch members of Poinguinim panchayat. Tawadkar, broke a coconut, lighted incensed sticks and put flower garland on the inaugural foundation stone.
Situated on the main road leading to to Amone, Dabel, nearby areas and Cotigao this culvert is vital infrastructure with its upgrade will enhance safety and improve connectivity for commuters and motorists alike.
According to sources though PWD officials were present, didn’t divulge the cost and length of either Culvert or side drains that are going to be widened and repaired. A few local residents were also present on the occasion.
