PANAJI: Goa Medical College & Hospital (GMC) has achieved yet another milestone of being permitted by NMC and granting two DM seats in Endocrinology, which is available only in a few medical colleges in India.
“It is to inform that the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) reviewed the Assessor’s Report dated 12.05.2022 regarding faculty, their experience, publication and other teaching facilities, including infrastructure available at Goa Medical College, Goa under Goa University in the State of Goa for starting of course DM (Endocrinology) for the academic year 2022-23,” the order states.
The Commission has also decided to obtain an undertaking/ essential document to issue of Letter of Permission for starting of new course DM (Endocrinology) with an annual intake of 02 seats for the academic year 2022-23.
“This will further raise the bar of GMC to a higher level as it will boost research and academics,’ said Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
