PANAJI: To ease the challenges faced by senior citizens during the registration process at GMC, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that a dedicated priority line has been introduced exclusively for them.
“A dedicated priority line has been introduced exclusively for senior citizens at Goa Medical College” said Rane
He further said that aseparate counter has been set up to provide preference to senior citizens above 60 years of age holding a priority card for OPD visits and other medical procedures.
“Registrations will be facilitated between 9 AM and 5 PM, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free process,” he added
Additionally, Rane said that assistance will be available at the counters, and a PRO will be present to guide senior citizens to their respective OPDs for check-ups and necessary investigations.
“This initiative aims to significantly reduce the hardships faced by our senior citizens at the registration counters and enhance their overall experience at GMC,” he said
