PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that one of the most impactful initiatives in Goa’s healthcare journey has been GMC’s comprehensive health screening program for over 2,000 Anganwadi workers.
“As we look back on 2024, one of the most impactful initiatives in Goa’s healthcare journey has been GMC’s comprehensive health screening program for over 2,000 Anganwadi workers,” said Rane
He further said that this initiative not only prioritizes the well-being of our frontline caregivers but also ensures early detection and timely intervention through complete health checkups, including blood tests, ECGs, X-rays and targeted assessments.
“By safeguarding the health of those who nurture our communities, we are strengthening the foundation of public health. Moving into 2025, this practice will set a benchmark for preventive healthcare in Goa, echoing PM Narendra Modi,” he added
Rane said that Goa has emerged as a trailblazer in public health, securing the top rank on the NACO scorecard for AIDS/HIV management.
“This remarkable achievement reflects the state’s dedication to effective healthcare delivery, awareness campaigns and robust treatment programs,” he added
Rane said that with a collaborative approach involving dedicated healthcare professionals and people participation, Goa continues to lead the way in creating a healthier, more informed society.
