PANAJI: Goa has achieved 100% saturation in three key Central government schemes under the State’s flagship Swayampurna Goa programme, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant announced on Saturday.
He was addressing the 35th edition of the live interaction series as part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada.
Sawant said that inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the Swayampurna Goa initiative has successfully taken governance to the doorsteps of people, benefiting lakhs of Goans.
He added that besides full saturation in the three Central schemes, the State has achieved more than 95 per cent coverage in various State-run welfare schemes.
Acknowledging the role of Swayampurna Mitras and Nodal Officers who serve as vital links between the government and the people, the Chief Minister said their contribution has been instrumental in realising this success.
“Goa Government is pleased to honour their dedication with an honorarium of ₹50,000 each,” he announced.
Calling for collective efforts to further strengthen the movement, Sawant urged Goans to join hands in building a Viksit Bharat and Viksit Goa.
