PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today announced that Union Ministry for Jal Shakti has allocated amount of Rs 61.26 crore to the state under the Swachh Bharat Mission(Gramin) for 2021-22.
Sawant also said that this is in addition to Rs 16.50 crore tied-grants for sanitation under 15th Finance Commission.
“Union Ministry for Jal Shakti has allocated amount of Rs 61.26 crore to the state under the Swachh Bharat Mission(Gramin) for 2021-22; this is in addition to Rs 16.50 crore tied-grants for sanitation under 15th Finance Commission,” said Sawant
He further said that he was greatful to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The JJM aims to provide tap water connection to all rural households by 2024.
Goa, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry have achieved 100 per cent target of providing tap water connection to every rural household
