PANAJI: The Goa Police Anti Narcotic Cell conducted a narcotic raid near St. Michael’s church, Anjuna and arrested one Arjun Chodankar r/o Pequeno Chivar, Anjuna for being in possession of 350 grams of charas worth Rs.1,75,000/-.
The accused was under the scanner of the ANC as he was previously arrested by the Crime Branch and was presently out on bail. A thorough surveillance was maintained on the accused for the past few days, and was arrested on Wednesday after ANC laid a trap along with the contraband.
The ANC conducted the raid led by PSI Priyanka Garodi, HC Kamlesh Dessai, HC Pramod Kalangutkar PC Mandar Naik and Sairaj Naik under the supervision of PI (ANC) Sajith Pillai and closely monitored by DySP (ANC) Nerlon Albuquerque and SP ANC Shivendu Bhushan IPS. Further investigation is in progress with PSI Rohan Madgaonkar.
