Goa Assembly Speaker Meets Lok Sabha Speaker in Delhi

DELHI: The Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi, holding a cordial and fruitful interaction on strengthening legislative processes and exploring avenues of cooperation between the two Houses.
The Speaker was accompanied by Dr. Naval Kumar Verma, a noted homeopath and Hon. Adviser (Medical & Wellness Tourism) to the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
During the meeting, Speaker Om Birla shared valuable insights on enhancing the effectiveness of the Goa Legislative Assembly, while discussions also focused on promoting coordination, knowledge-sharing, and exchange programmes between the Lok Sabha and the state legislature.
The deliberations touched on the role of legislative leadership in advancing welfare measures for the people of Goa and underscored Goa’s potential to emerge as a global hub for Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Yoga, and integrated healthcare, with guidance from Dr. Verma. Both leaders reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts between states and the Union in realising the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat.
