PANAJI: The Government of Goa has been honoured with seven prestigious SKOCH Awards for reforms and innovative public-centric initiatives carried out under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. The awards, conferred after an independent outcome-based assessment procedure, recognize the State’s efforts in governance, technology, education, and social development.
The Finance Department received the award for its Data Analytical Cell – Kosh Data Management Platform, while the Goa Waste Management Corporation was recognized for State Initiatives in Waste Management. The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs won for its Khelo Goa Centres initiative, and the Department of Women and Child Development was awarded for Improving Childhood Nutrition through Anganwadis.
The Directorate of Technical Education earned recognition for introducing Coding and Robotics Education in Schools. The Goa Police Department was awarded for its innovative project Spot the Scam and Radical Content Analyzer. Meanwhile, the Department of Legal Metrology bagged the award for Packers Registration cum FSSAI License Camp for Self Help Groups.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the recognition reflects Goa’s commitment to leveraging innovation and reforms to enhance governance and improve the quality of life of its citizens.
