DABOLIM: Goa BJP state president and former Fatorda MLA Damodar Naik returned to Goa on Friday afternoon after meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
Speaking to the media at Goa International Airport, Dabolim, Naik described the meeting as “fruitful,” marking his first official interaction with Shah since taking over as the state BJP president.
“Amit Shah had called me to Delhi, and we had a very productive discussion on strengthening the BJP in Goa. He has extended all his support to the party and emphasized the importance of organizational development. Our focus is to strengthen the party and work towards success in the 2027 assembly elections,” Naik stated.
He further mentioned that several strategies were discussed, though he refrained from sharing details, stating that their impact would be visible in the coming months.
Naik’s visit to Delhi comes at a crucial time as the BJP gears up for upcoming political challenges in the state.
